Bacteria Culturing

Bacterial culturing - click for larger viewFor endodontic outcomes, it is of interest whether or not any given procedure renders a canal bacteria-free. Taking a paper point sample and culturing in medium is a coarse measure to determine the status after cleaning a canal because of various sources of error. The left tube shows turbidity (contamination) while the right tube shows no bacterial growth.
