Digital imaging is one of the most exciting topics in dentistry today. Basic understanding of anatomy and pathology interpretation is a must. The objective of this course is to provide clinicians with the latest information regarding 2-D and 3-D imaging to enhance their dental practice.

  • Advanced panoramic imaging anatomy and interpretation concepts
  • Cone Beam CT (CBCT) hardware evaluation: sensors, fields of view and dosage
  • CBCT acquisition protocols 
  • CBCT applications in dental implantology, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery and TMJ.
  • Basic and advanced 3-D software applications
  • Basic CBCT anatomy and pathology interpretation concepts

Faculty

Bruno Correa de Azevedo, DDS, MS, received his DDS from Gama Filho University in Brazil and completed a two-year residency program in oral and maxillofacial radiology in Bauru, Sao Paulo. In 2004, he managed the first dental imaging lab in Latin America to employ the use of a high resolution, small volume Cone Beam Computer Tomography in his hometown, Brasilia. He is a member of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology and has presented at more than 30 national and international scientific meetings across the globe.
