Class of 2008 Raises Inaugural Graduating Class Gift

Student leaders from the class of 2008 present Dean Ferrillo with the dental school's inaugural graduating class gift totaling more than $13,000.

July  07, 2008

Members of the DDS, IDS and Orthodontics classes of 2008 came together to raise the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry's inaugural graduating class gift. With an impressive 98% of students and residents contributing, the classes of 2008 raised more than $6,000.

The students' enthusiasm inspired the Alumni Association, Pacific Dental Education Foundation Board and Dr. Arthur A. Dugoni to contribute matching gifts, for a total donation of more than $13,000. The gift will support the Dean's Fund for Excellence, a fundraising program that provides Dean Patrick J. Ferrillo, Jr., with the flexibility to meet any challenges that arise, without using student tuition.

"I am pleased to see that our students are already giving back to the Dugoni School," said Dean Ferrillo. "The graduating students' remarkable act of generosity truly reflects their dedication to this dental school as a result of their positive experience here."
