Dental School Outreach Efforts Featured on KTVU-TV

April  16, 2007

In April, the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry provided free restorative and orthodontic treatment to a nine-year- old boy from Honduras who formerly suffered from cleft lip and palate. Thanks to the help of Rotaplast International, Inc., a philanthropic organization created to help children with clefts, Joey Benitez-Garcia and his mother, Josefina Garcia, were able to travel to the United States so that Joey could receive dental care at Pacific.

Reporter Bob McKenzie from KTVU Channel 2, San Francisco's Fox affiliate, covered the event for the 10 o'clock news on April 12. To view the story, please click here.
