School Website Redesign Project

The Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry is taking a fresh look at its school web site to improve the look and functionality for the many people who use it. The goal of the project is the launch of a more effective and flexible site over Summer 2015 to serve the needs of the school's various audiences, both internal and external. An improved site design, updated site architecture, revised content and new functionality, along with the use of web technology and designs used across University of the Pacific campus web sites are all being explored through the project.

Planned updates include:

  • More contemporary design
  • Responsive design elements for better display across tablets and phones
  • Flexible design that provides more options for web page formats
  • New pages such as faculty profiles and media galleries
  • Updated clinic pages and patient-focused content
  • Use of Localist to promote school events
  • Updated look that aligns more closely with other University of the Pacific web sites and allows content to be shared more efficiently within the content management system (CMS)
  • Training for existing staff who make updates in the CMS on behalf of their departments

The project is being overseen by a cross-departmental committee that includes representatives from Marketing & Communications, Design & Photo, Information Technology, University Communications and other areas.

Existing content for all departments will be migrated to the new design. The new site is expected to launch over the summer break (June/July 2015).
